Was There A Hidden Scene After The Credits

MC Noob here.

I've been dying to ask this. The I was a kid I used to watch VHS all the way to the very end post credits and I swear on a stack of Bibles at the end of the credits there was a scene where Truman comes out on the other side of the wall and Laura is there.

Granted this was 20 years ago when I saw this but I remember it clear as day.

I have heard that in the 90's it wasn't that unusual for there to be different prints of the film from VHS to VHS sometimes...

Or was I imagining this?

That´s the Mandela Effect. I also remember Truman throwing a rock at the moon, and the moon getting broke, but any of that happened.

You're probably thinking of the scene in Bruce Almighty where he throws a pretend rope at the moon and pulls it closer to the Earth, to create a large full moon whilst trying to be romantic with Jennifer Aniston's character.

In the original spec script by Andrew Niccol there is an epilogue

In it Truman is shown years later having started a family with Laura and living a normal life. And they're watching TV and they see what is basically a "sequel" to the Truman Show but with another unwitting child. It showed that Truman went on to have a happy life, but it's still a dark ending because it shows that nothing changed, they just swapped him out for someone new. I dunno exactly what type of social commentary that was meant to convey, but that was the original ending

I must note that the original spec script is VERY different from the movie. It was originally much more of a sci-fi thriller and not dark comedy/drama. I like both versions, but obviously I would have never bothered to read the script if I didn't love the movie so much, so I'm happy with what we got
