Would such reality show be possible with today's technology?

I know this would be an EXTREMELY BIG thing, but do you think it would be possible to make a reality show like that for real, with technology available today? I wonder if one day someone decides to give it a try. Would it be a success?

Except for the most important factor, they know they're on a show.

They would also have to keep Truman ignorant of the existence of the internet,
and have no real newspapers in his world.
