I love this film and never tire of falling in love over and over again with Jack and Rose. I do however have a question about one the comment. When Cal says it was a pity he didn't keep the drawing, how did this comment make Rose realize that he framed Jack?
I can only guess that it admits he knew the necklace was in the safe?? Opinion please.
It made her realize that he'd looked in the safe and found the drawing and the taunting note she'd put in with it, revealing that she had been naked in front of the man that he hated, and that Jack had drawn her like that. I think it was at that point she realized what he'd done, because she knew Cal would stop at nothing to get what he wanted, and she was wondering how Jack, who had shown respect towards her and the necklace during the drawing session, would suddenly have it in his pocket.
