How many times have you seen this?

I have so much good nostalgia with this movie. I saw it twice in theatre, bought it on VHS immediately after it came out, then bought the 3 disc DVD, and bought it on BluRay. In total probably 15 times for me, but I've popped it in and watched scenes countless times.

Wow, what a bunch of suckers.
I feel like an idiot for having given in to the hype and seen this floating turd once when it came out.
Yet morons like you feel validated by giving it as much money as they can.

Haven't you bought the 4k version yet?

11 Oscars (including best picture)
4 Golden Globes (including best picture)
7.8 on IMDb
89% on Rotten Tomatoes
75 on metacritic

Maybe you're the moron who doesn't know what a good movie is.

reply

More likely you are the moron that needs other people to tell him what is a good movie or not.

Titanic is not a good movie, it's barely ok.
5.5 on Heisenberg.

reply

Who said that I needed people to tell me this was good? That was to show you that you're in the minority. As I said in my first post, I saw this twice in theatres. That was before it won any awards.

I remember when this movie was in its original theatrical run in the 1990’s, it became a thing for teen girls to go to the movies and watch this movie as many times as possible. Lots of girls watching it 20-30 times.

reply

Watched it only once, in theater in 1998. But the movie still resonates after 25 years. I of course watched scenes here and there on youtube and I have read stuff about the production and movie director James Cameron, and watched footage of the real Titanic and stuff.

I will probably start watching the full movie again. Twice a year during holidays I watched LotR trilogy so why not do the same with Titanic. I don't have the movie on my TV recorder that's the main reason.

reply

It still holds up.

reply

Start to finish, complete film…twice. In the theatre original run and when I bought the DVD.

Bits and pieces…probably dozens of times.

reply

It sounds like you appreciate it enough.

I SAW IT IN THE THEATER...MY GRANDMOTHER BOUGHT THE VHS...I LIVED WITH HER...WE PROBABLY WATCHED IT SIX TIMES...I BOUGHT THE DVD...AND LATER I PICKED UP THE BLU RAY....SO ALL IN...I HAVE SEEN IT...UM....10 TIMES?...I WILL SAY 10...I HAVE YET TO SHOW IT TO MY DAUGHTER THOUGH...SO ANOTHER REWATCH IT COMING UP.

reply

10 times isn't enough.
