What An amazing different time where did we go wrong

Watching how these people in first class acted respectful towards one another classy elegant. Where has that gone in this world? People took honor in serving their country it was romantic going to battle being a hero.

Don't get me wrong there's a lot of negative with this period too sexism segregation both race and wealth wise. It just seems like to give fix the last two we are now a rude non chivalriest world

I do agree with you about manners and courtesy in the modern world, there should be more of both.

However, I urge you not to judge the world of that era by the superficial glamour of the Titannic's First Class passengers during a social occasion. These lovely, gracious people had the money to travel because they owned factories, sweatshops, plantations, or mines where adults and children worked 12+ hour days in hellish conditions for pennies, and some of them saw nothing wrong with raping their chambermaids or lynching anyone they thought insufficiently respectful. Manners mean nothing unless they're applied to EVERYONE, not just the people you want to impress.

Also, if you think battles are "romantic" then you haven't been anywhere near one.

Manners & etiquette are on the decline indeed, but this is less a concern about which fork to use than a lack of delicate consideration for other people's feelings, which seems to have risen in the last generation or two. The social contract that traditionally deemed rudeness unacceptable seems to not be worth the fine vellum it was engraved upon.

I don’t know what the f*ck “serving your country” has to do with TITANIC seeing as there was no war going on...but I agree this nation has turned into a nation a crybaby losers who need a “safe” space because they’re easily butthurt.
