Stabbing through the bathroom stall
Is this even possible?

It was a fun movie with some great ideas and scenes, but that made me cringe when I first saw it. It's one of the most implausible death scenes in cinema.

Yes, it was very coincidental that Phil did exactly what Ghostface wanted, but I don't see that as a big issue. Ghostface was just improvising, his entire plan did not rely on Phil doing that.
MY problem with that scene is why Ghostface would kill Phil with the stall door open while other people were in the bathroom. This was not the same situation as with Maureen, and he would've been trapped if those people had heard or seen something. share

My problem is more with how would he have known where Phil put his head? He just randomly stabs into the wall and it just so happens it was where Phil placed his head.
As for Maureen's death it was just a clever death since so many people were wearing the mask so it was very easy for him to kill and just walk away or even take the mask off. And since everyone was going crazy and paying more attention to the screen than anything else they didn't notice the murder going on. It also helped out so much that people were also "stabbing" each other with fake knives he was able to get away easier.

Ghostface could've been standing on the toilet to see where Phil's head was. That's less of an issue for me.

Well yeah, I didn't have a problem with Maureen's death. Phil's murder was much more risky in that regard. share
