Favorite lines

- There are Jews sitting at my table
- (After receptionist at Melvin's publisher's asks, "How do you write woman so well?") I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability. The line was attributed to John Updike, one of my favorite writers. That sealed it for me.

There were others, but those are my laugh-out-loud top two.

All of them!!!! The entire fabulous movie!!!!
But here are some standouts...

The very best one being:

You make me want to be a better man.

And these are some of the best:

Carol the waitress, Simon the fag.

Do you have any control over how creepy you allow yourself to get? (this pops up in my head quite often while reading what's posted by certain people on MC)

This can't be right! "Con-science"?

You're why cavemen chiseled on walls.

Come here, baby. Come here, baby. Verdell? What's wrong? You miss the tough guy?
Well, here I am, sweetheart! Happy to see me, you little piss-ant mop? How about another ride down the chute?
