Such a great movie!

I enjoyed the movie a lot too. I think knowing the ending might take away from it a bit, but I haven't seen it more than twice and I'm not one of those people who gets concerned about spoilers. And while I do enjoy the movie tremendously, watching one character get used and seeing another character slowly unravel is rather unpleasant. These feel like real people, although I've never held the attitude these two men hold.

I really like the film too, but I question the ‘black comedy’ description.

It’s really a character study of a sociopath and his twisted plot to destroy his wimpy ‘best friend’ with a plan that involves cruelly abusing an innocent deaf woman.

There’s some amusement to be had early on in watching Chad grumble about sexual politics, and there’s a shred of truth in his spicy observations, but even then he shows signs of being unstable, and by the time Christine enters the film it’s some kind of twisted arthouse drama, and as it progresses it borders on psychological horror.
