who did you originally think the killer was when you first saw this?

I was pretty young so I thought Max or Ray.

Way back when I saw it for the first time I thought it was gonna turn out to be Ray because I knew the "killer" (really a stalker) in the book was Collingsworth Wilson - who dated Julie under the guise of "Bud."

I was sure it was one of the four mains at first. I also thought it could've been Julie and she had just gone insane.

When I first saw it, I assumed either Ray or Missy would be the killer.

I had no idea. Obviously Max and Melissa seemed possible but they were too creepy, too obviously red herrings.

I didn’t for a second think it was one of the main four as that would be hilarious and nonsensical, Barry accusing Ray was like ‘what!?’

The final reveal was dull and leftfield. Some guy we’ve never met, tangentially connected to some random guy we saw for 2 seconds at the start.

I’d actually have preferred it if they went with a semi-supernatural reveal. It would have made sense of absurd moments like the killer quickly removing the crab-covered corpse from the trunk in broad daylight. In the end it’s just some rando. Major weakness of the film.

No idea, however, I laughed for a good 5 minutes at Ryan Phillippe when he was getting snockered while sticking his head out of the sunroof and after they plowed that Dude with the rain slicker on, all he could think about was the damage to his prized BMW.. LOL!!!

I never thought it would be Max or Julie or Ray. I thought it would have been a relative of David Eagan.
