I love this film, but as most Brits know that Americans have a very different sense of humour (not prejudice in anyway my Aunty is American).
Just this film is made up of very British humour and was just curious to see if Americans enjoyed it as much as us Brits?
I'm American and I think this film great! Then again, I grew up watching english comedies ^_^

I loved the movie (I'm from Washington state). I work at a movie store and it's a cult favorite. There are a few Americans that don't really care for British humor (most of the time it's because they don't understand it) but for the most part, people love this movie.

sharei know what you mean.i am american and i have allways loved and understood british humor(love red dwarf ,the young ones,the office ,black adder) but alot of americans don't get the humor ,but for the most part about everyone i know that has seen this film likes it .

I'm a 54-year old woman from high in the Rocky Mountains in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and I loved this movie. Thought it was damn sexy,too. Give me real men everytime.
And, yes, I do enjoy British humor (humour). Monty Python, Peter Sellers (a genius), Ab Fab, Keeping Up Appearances, and some of your game shows, especially the one where they make people answer questions whilst doing doing outrageous things. I just wish we could see more of it.

I'm 19, from Texas, and I haven't seen any british comedy films (except of course for Monty Python and the Holy Grail) and when I watched this movie I thought it was great. Very funny and very good. Deserving of its best picture nomination.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a movie to rent one night, and reading aloud titles of movies we'd seen and enjoyed. When I read off "The Full Monty," my boyfriend stopped and gave me the strangest look. "You LIKED The Full Monty?" As I prepared to defend my taste in movies, my boyfriend continued, "You'll fit right in with my folks, then. Dad's family is Canadian and we've all developed a British sense if humor."
We were married the next year.
