Lol at that prison guard stating "The Geneva Convention is void here".
I am sure that most people probably knew even by 1997 that "Geneva Convention" is an organization that specifically assists victims of war and not anyone who is incarcerated, it doesn't involve itself with any prison at all, but lol at how he stated it with seriousness and whatnot.
Almost like stating something obvious as "The Queen of England doesn't pay a visit here".
