Why does Satan say "love is overrated"?

depend of the person some people are not interest in love or any kind of emotionally atachment in fact a lot of young people prefer casual relations and avoid marriage prefering theyr freedom and enjoy more sex tan love and are not necessary evil just because of that, every each is own, not everybody can have the same expectations

It just a movie and as such in the end always present the traditional valious like the source of salvation from the main character and even the world in Matrix the love of Trinity save Neo and viceversa in Matrix Reload, in the Fifth element the fifith element is Love and with a kiss all the evil is destroy and the entire earth is save

Love and monogamy relations that prevail in time are dificult things to find and maintain, people with bad experiences from theyr own of from others and prefer be more free and less atached to someone else are not nessary bad, that is a very simplistic mindset

I think that this version of Satan is a serious prick who hates humanity, so it makes sense that he/it would jubilantly denigrate any positive aspects of the human experience.
He is just evil, and whatnot, and he hates love because love is indeed a great thing.

To love something means you can't be completely self indulgent. You have to give to love. Not really a Satan thing.

Love is beyond biochemistry. It’s beyond everything. It’s the only thing that can defeat evil and the devil so of course he’s going to argue it’s over-rated. Love is his one true enemy.
