Dante's Peak or Volcano

Volcano: 3/10
Dante's Peak: 2/10

Both are full of head-smacking idiocy. Both have tons of scenarios that play out in unrealistic ways. Both have character behavior that belie basic reason. Volcano fills the small cracks in between foolishness with semi-palatable procedure and a slightly more interesting premise.

defo Dante's Peak just seen it more times and like everything more about this its more series to.

Both are really terrible. If I have to pick one it will be Dante's Peak. Volcano had too many really dumb scenes. Tommy Lee Jones outrunning a falling building and the battle of the lava on La Brea was just too much to swallow.

I prefer "Volcano", I've got a DVD somewhere. It doesn't take itself seriously, and veers into camp at times with all the LA landmarks being roasted. It doesn't take itself seriously and it's a very enjoyable sort of bad movie.

"Dante's Peak" takes itself seriously and fails at being a serious film, so it's also campy in its way, but there are also some scenes that are genuinely terrifying. So I can see why someone with a more serious turn of mind might prefer it.

I think Dante's Peak is the better film but I like the silliness of Volcano.

Volcano had one good scene: lava on the rails. Other than that, it's dull.

Dantes Peak is paced better and works in its scenario.
