possibly the WORST cartoon feature length film to date

it's so pointless. cats trying to get into hollywood? sounds more like something i'd expect on the muppet show. it's overflowing with corny musical numbers, and the ''villain'' of the film is......Shirley Temple? and it seems like they are making an attempt at cgi in some scenes. which needless to say doesnt help this film. i was bored throughout the whole film. i was starved for something cartoony! thats kinda what you go see a cartoon film for! i was so desperate i would've settled for someone dropping their pants! hell even slipping on a banana peel! but no. instead i got repetitive musical numbers, a cynical Shirley Temple, and an over enthusiastic cat. oh and i also forgot the oversized Lurch bodyguard that played second fiddle to this little four year old bitch. and when it seemed like it was trying to be funny it failed miserably since all they ever did was spit out sarcastic responses to one another. overall i say this film was a complete and total failure.

I really hate when people try to classify animation as a genre instead of
a medium.

And BTW, can someone reason why they think the music "sucked"? Just because
it's music you don't typically listen to or understand or appreciate fully,
doesn't make it bad. Jesus, what's happened to us.

It's a movie. If people are such crazy movie lovers as they claim to be, we'd
love all kinds of movies, and that includes bad ones.

The music definitely does not suck. It's not Golden Era-Disney standard, but it's just as good as the music in, say, Mulan or Anastasia. Obviously different styles, but same level of craftsmanship in my opinion.

What movie were YOU watching? How is it not cartoony?

No, I personally think this underrated gem is miles better than animated feature length movies like Secret of NIMH 2:Timmy To the Rescue, which was absolute garbage.

And it would be the greatest episode of the Muppet Show ever.

Yeah, it is over the top in a number of areas. I didn't like it much, but I thought it was okay.

Not when the likes of Doogal and Happily N'ever After exist...

I have an unbelievably long ignore list.

I vaguely remember Doogal. That other penguin movie didn't do it for you, I guess.

This is the worst review I've seen for this movie. Do you have any idea what an allegory is?
