MAJOR SPOILERS

1.Grave of Fireflies - When there's a flashback of the girl's happy moments living in the cave. By far the saddest scene I've ever seen. Every time I remember it, I cry.

2.A.I. - When the kid gets to spend an extra day with his mother, in the end.

3.25th Hour - When the father is driving him to jail and he has a dream about the life that could've been if he ran away

4.Il Postino - Basically the whole movie makes me very emotional, mainly because of the acting of the main character.

5.The Legend of 1900 - When he looks out the window and sees the woman, while playing the song.

I'm not a big movie crier, but here goes:

Old Yeller
Where the Red Fern Grows
My Dog Skip (Are you seeing the pattern here? This is the point where I start checking whether the dog dies before I'll even watch the movie.)
What Dreams May Come (Actually, many Robin Williams "comedies" are seriously sad, but this one slays me.)
Up (Come on! You know you cried during the montage too!

I find it fascinating the movies that make me cry and not other people and vice-versa.

Life Is Beautiful and Titanic both make me bawl uncontrollably after each viewing. In Titanic, probably the scene which I shed the most tears in is when Rose jumps back onto the sinking ship to be with Jack. Gets me every time :( Actually, I'm pretty much a mess from the second the 'I'm Flying!' scene starts, to the credits at the end. In Life Is Beautiful, I find the scene I cry the most in is when Guido and Joshua talk to Dora over the loudspeaker, and he calls her 'Principessa', and at the end, when Joshua is met by the tank, and is reunited with his mother. Actually, pretty much the whole of the second half makes me cry, starting with when Dora voluntarily boards the train, and when Uncle Eliseo is gassed. I'm going to have to watch The Green Mile after reading everyone else's posts, I'm sure it will be another tearjerking movie to add to my list!

I haven't seen Life Is Beautiful; I just came here to get some opinions on it. But here are my personal "crying moments" in films. Not all of these are sad, however; some are just moving:

1. Schindler's List: The scene in the cellar with Schindler comforting Helen. The scene at the end with Schindler weeping because he "could have got more out."

2. The Elephant Man: John Merrick getting the dressing case as a gift and thanking everyone.

3. The Reader: Michael Berg in his former lover's prison cell, after she's hanged herself.

4. The Pianist: The moment when Hosenfeld gives Szpilman his coat.

5. Risen: The scene with Clavius bursting into the upper room, only to find Jesus and his disciples there.

6. Amazing Grace: The moment in the last courtroom scene when you see the blind John Newton up in the balcony, being guided by his servant. I nearly broke down in tears at that part.

7. 12 Angry Men: Juror #3's final monologue and breakdown.
