A Great Scene Between Russell and JT Walsh
"Breakdown" start to finish is a very suspenseful thriller in the "this could happen to you" category, but if there is one suspense scene that stands out to me, it is this one:
When Russell first returns for his wife and finds trucker JT Walsh(who had only minutes before been talking to Russell AND his wife, and offering to watch after the wife) alone, JT says "what wife? what are you talking about buddy" and NO ONE ELSE IS THERE. JT has already begun his "fake story"(there was no wife) and there isn't even a witness around to have to lie to. He's ALREADY messing with Russell and then when a cop arrives, JT can smoothly go into his "I don't know what he's talking about" routine.
I just like the way that JT(superbly evil in this film) messes with Russell like that...with nobody else around.
