Funniest Scene

i was really impressed by the stunts of chris farley, he could really move couldn't he. don't think i thought about that when i first saw it, i've had this on tape for years, i used to enjoy watching chris farley comedy.

and i got trapped in another time.

I can't believe nobody mentioned THIS scene:

Right after the opening credits, his brother (the REAL Ninja dude) is going through an initiation rite where he has to lift a scalding cauldron with his forearms while branding his arms (with the Dojo insignia) during the process. When the brother prepares to do this, he is in deep concentration and then extends his arms and emits a power/distraction call of "DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!" as he lifts the cauldron and then let's out the call again when he lowers the cauldron down.

Now it's Haru's (Chris Farley) turn. Haru gets up to the cauldron, does some fancy magician style hand flourishes and then matter-of-factly chirps "DOOT!" and I pretty much peed my pants and fell to the ground - CRYING - and laughing so hard. The way he says "DOOT!" is so funny to me because it's like he doesn't even know why his brother had made that sound and like he figures he should just sort of say it, too, since the brother did. I had to re-wind and play this scene 5 more times because it made me laugh so hard. Seriously, this was THE BEST and the ONLY funny part of this entire piece of s of a film.

I LOVE Chris Farley and this movie was the WORST.

I agree, the whole movie is hilarious, so it's hard to pick a favorite.

I always crack up at the "plane of enlightenment" scenes, when Haru always goes flying through the air and whizzing past Sensei and everyone else because he is so terrible at meditation... ha :)

Personally I find the Chet Walters scene where Haru is failing miserably in his attempt to print money to be particularly funny, because my boyfriend actually runs a printing press for a living... so since I have a bit more understanding of how it works, it's funny to see how bad Haru is screwing it up... "Not quite a match..." and the money is bright neon colored... lol...

I always laugh at the scene in which Haru is sneaking around Tanley's mansion and inadvertently traps the dog and hoists him in the air, then later drops the dog and it lets out a pathetic little yelp.. I love animals, so please people don't flame me for thinking this is funny. I just get a kick out of it because the dog is such a mean bad-a$$ trying to get Haru, then he inadvertently conquers it without even trying. The look on Haru's face when he realizes what he did to the dog was classic... LMAO every time.

I also get a kick out of the bit where Haru is again sneaking around and goes through the curtains and is face-to-face with the stripper onstage... his reaction is priceless! "I am one with the universe. I am one with the universe... NO I AM NOT ONE WITH THE UNIVERSE!"

The funniest scene to me is at the end when Gobei is flying in the air about to land in the ocean. It makes me laugh hysterically.

"Hear me now! This place is cursed, damned, and yes your master is the devil!"

The strip club scene where he decides to join in, does the worst pole dance in history and falls off the stage onto a table full of dudes. Hilarious, I nearly hurt myself from laughing first time I saw that scene.

The dojo practising scene is amazing too, especially when he's dressed full Ninja and attacks and destroys the mirror.

So many funny scenes but if I must pick one so the metal detector scene.
