What would the perception be if BB didn’t exist?

What if the next Batman movie after Batman & Robin wasn’t Batman Begins or any dark, realistic take on the character and continued the Burton/Schumacher style of being a mix of gothic and cartoony? How would the perception fans have of Batman & Robin change?

Batman & Robin is a bad movie that takes a cr@p all over the Batman franchise. It was seen as that long before Batman Begins came along.
