He obviously didn't want to work either! I think I heard, like Marlon Brando in the Original Superman movie from '79, he shot all his scenes early, then edited into the movie! It didn't amount to more than 5-10 min. of screen time for either! I can only guess the same thing went on with the latest Jor-El played by Oscar winner, Russell Crowe!

While that's true, he didn't write the script 

Honestly, I don't think he was that bad. Worst performance IMO was Uma Thurmann. A critic at that time said she sounded like the Principal Boy in Peter Pan, and that was spot on.

Not even close. Arnie's been doing pun-liners for virtually his whole career. Compared to Clooney, Silverstone, and Thurman, Arnie was superb!

the problem isnt the actors, its the script and direction.

actors are just pawns with a script who (usually) do what the director wants and the director, good or bad, need to deal with the script he was given.

*did he actually refer to batman as funny ?
no wonder batman movies failed.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!!! Did you actually watch this film? He was clearly snubbed by the Oscars. These scenes beg to differ with you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkTHtWX7CCY

If I didn’t talk the way I talk I wouldn’t know who the hell I am, Sean Connery on his accent

Yeah the bad puns ruined it for me.

I disagree. Arnold is OK, not great but OK, and better than most of the cast. Only the actor who plays Alfred is clearly better, and I think O'Donnell is better. John Glover is better too, but he has a minor role.
