1 to 10

from 1 to 10 what would you rate this move, 1 being the worse, and 10 being the best.

I'd give it a solid 8.5 maybe even a 9.....

10.

Not because I actually believe it's a 10'movie, but in order to level the poor ratings it has gotten as much as possible.

reply

no offense but trying to level the ratings a stupid thing to do. first of all, it doesn't change anything and secondly, that's how we get the extreme ratings of newer movies where people either give 10's or 1's. just take a look at how many 10's Clerks II and how many 1's Gigli has received. neither deserve this extreme rating.

187 gets a strong 7 on my list.

I like this movie a lot. I give it an 8.

I'd give this an easy 10, hands down flat on the table.
The world needs more films like this, ones that change others insights and notions that we all face in normal everyday life. Unfortunately, especially in places like the US, most of these good points are sensoured and we never view the 'big picture.' We are all left in the dark, until once a lifetime they put out a film as powerful as this was. Personally, I believe this should be an in-school film, no matter how grousome it may be. It's real.
Just a thought.

This is to mr Commandorules. Because of voters like you the Imdb system fails to tell what other people think of the movie. Thats a stupid thing to do. Should every movie be rated as you want them to be? Because what imdb stands for is the fair rating system so you can actually see what people have liked.

like my man robert here says. Solid 10.

It had quite a few psychological edges to it that I appreciated but the way Ellen kept mentioning the students mental conditions and what they had done it almost seemed like she was bragging. It happens often anyways, when you talk with someone or a group of people outside of work conversations always lead back to work. I personally think she ruined it for me.

Saw it this morning for the second time after watching it the first time years ago at the movie theater. I really didn't remember the story being that interesting to me back then as it was this morning. Maybe because the first time I watched I was much younger, it was the late 90's and I'm from the south. I think back then I should have been about 20 and not that long before seeing it had graduated from H.S myself so I was thinking like "Ok the schools are bad but not that bad" I felt more like it was an extreme exaggeration. Now I look at it as being more realistic and real. Maybe the movie was just a bit ahead of its time. Perhaps if the movie was released now it would receive a higher rating. Now I'll give it a 7 but 15 years ago I would have given it a 4 at best.
