I remember when Disney Channel use to wear this movie out, they showed it at least twice a week! I use to watch it everytime, but now all Disney Channel show is "That's so Raven" and dumb movies that doesn't make sense. I wish they would bring this movie back on Disney Channel
i used to luv this movie! and it used to be on all the time! now wat happened? i wonder if you could rent it at the video store......i watched it when i was like 7 or 8 and i thought it was like the best movie ever! and disney channel really screwed up with all these new shows that stink! wat happened to bug juice, or recess or all those other cool shows....i wish disney would bring them all back and stop turning on those repeats of lizzie mcguire!
I so remember Wish upon the star. It rocked. I also loved the punks, Susie Q, and stepsister from planet weird... love them.... I hope someday they play them again.
---I’ve given up on giving up slowly, I’m blending in so You won’t even know me---
It's never on [along with many great other Disney movies; Susie Q, Genius ect.] bcuz Disney's to busy killing High School Musical. When you think about it, HSM's the only original channel movie that's gone to DVD a matter of months after it's release, and the only one Disney's like showing off now. I like that movie.....alot but when they show it every other week it gets on my nerves!
It's better to love someone you can't have than to have someone you can't love
I know! They also use to show Susie Q alot! They never show could movies anymore. I can remember the part where her sister got mad at her for getting a hickey! There's a few othe clips from it that i remember. Disney Channel Movies were sooo good back in the 1990's!
wow. time really flies by... this movie was made a decade ago!!! it was one of my favorite movies. i can't believe what the disney channel has become. i mean, i luv HSM, hannah montana, and all that stuff, but NONE of that can EVERRR compare to the way disney was before. i forgot about susie q! i luvvvd it! i just now remembered after reading some of these posts. i like how disney is kid-friendly, but you get to a point where youre going too far. when wendy wu premiered, they showed that big spiel about how they had to rate it PG... i mean, its OK! wish upon a star is SUCH a great movie. even though its pg and shows some making out and talks about virginity, its OKKK!!! i remember not even know what the heck a hickey was!!!! seriously. disney should be showing these things and prevent kids from sex and drinking and drugs now while theyre young. without saying too much, of course. but i mean, it's not like these shows promoted them! even nickelodeon isnt as bad with all the kid-friendlyness. despite how much i love disney now, it was soo much better before. and the funny thing is, now that i'm growing up, disney is showing all this kiddy stuff, and when i was younger, there were more adult topics.
and OMG. i forgot about p.u.n.k.s. too!! i cant believe that! i remember rolling on the floor laughing when he was like, "STOP! or i'll poupon you!!!!" with the mustard in his hand. LOL!!!!!! and i luvvvd boy meets world!! but only when they were already in college. haha. but now they only show it at 2 am, which i still watch neway cuz im up that late everyday. haha.
and in this generation, animation and special effects are soo big. i mean, a movie or show is about the story and the message sent through it, but today, people focus wayy too much on special effects that they can't write a decent plot because they want to show off their effects (pirates of the caribbean 2, thats all i'm saying). haha.
i noe but i was lyke 5 or 6 when i luved this movie!! i remember asking my older sister what were they saying cause i didnt understand it back then. i mean i luv read it and weep but i am all about the classics!!! disney should have lyke a month long tribute to the old movies!
I miss Quints,You Lucky Dog,Super Mario Brothers:The Movie,The Other Me,The Poof Point,Wish Upon a Star,and Model Behavior.
Does anybody remember some movie that has something to do with a pizza boy and I think it's where he finds out he's Aladin or something else (I forgot)?
OOhhh..i'll look it up, but i think it's the same type of movie as "Rookie of the Year" with the same main actor in both movies. Awww i miss Disney Channel. They used to have such goooood movies & shows, seriously now i feel ashamed to watch it (because i'm 15) and all their shows are so childish. I really wish Disney would just show like a re-run of ALL their old movies (that they don't show anymore) for like, two months. A different movie everynight. And just give us all who liked the Disney classics a chance to tape them, haha. And if the newbies to Disney Channel don't like that, then they can live w/ out the channel for a few months. Seriously, we've been living w/ the crap they've been giving us for a LONGG time.
^ A Kid in Aladdin's Palace :) They don't show that movie anymore, either..but wow, in Rookie of the Year, the guy is 13 years old, and in Aladdin's Palace, he's 18, but i couldn't tell the difference in both movies. I thought he was the same age LOL. Do you guys remember the movie "Three Fugitives" with Martin Short & Nick Nolte? It's not a Disney movie, i don't think, but it was a good movie. And i don't know why they ALWAYS have to show disney movies now, before they at least had versatility and showed GOOD shows, even if they weren't their own.
