Homo-Erotic
Does anyone else think this movie is a bit homo-erotic? Scott Wolf and Ryan Phillipe should get it on already. ;-)

shareOh, yes, VERY homo-erotic. If you're gay.

The movie is "Homo-Erotic" only to the extent that any movie with a bunch of athletic young guys who often go shirtless can legitimately be called Homo-Erotic, though only in the sense that gay males might enjoy that aspect in and of itself. Nothing within the script suggested anything Homo-Erotic going on among the crew.
shareI'm just curious: in your world, does it register at all that these films have content that is seen by BOTH men & women. One type of erotic content appeals to str8 men & lesbians, while the other appeals to str8 women & gays.
There isn't one iota of difference between the two, except thru the lens of a brainwashed culture that actually insists on seeing everything purely from a straight male POV and nothing else, period. The very fact that Western Culture, especially American, can only see scenes with shirtless hot young guys as "homo-erotic" says it all. If the camera show a hot young chic, it's not really called anything...except "yeah, that's hot!" But if a movie has a scene of a hot young guy shirtless, somehow it takes on a completely different meaning altogether. Sorry, but the only difference is that the scene is going to appeal to straight women & gay guys. That's it, that's all. But no, because according to the western cultural almanac, girls & women don't actually exist, so scenes of hot shirtless young guys can only be homo-erotic, while the same scenes of hot young girls are...what? By the exact same logic, they should also be called homo-erotic, shouldn't they, since they appeal to lesbians?
The double standard is like this huge black hole that sucks in any reason & common sense. IMO, it's downright evil, as it's a giant passive aggressive attack on anything that isn't entirely geared towards the paradigm of the (very insecure) straight male and nothing else. It's sick. And it's so very, very wrong. Both factually and morally.
It's okay if you're gay, but no need to project. You should probably try and find some male friends (not lovers) for a change.
