...being a Klan Member and shoot that cop next to Brigade, but the teen black arsonist who killed the Klan's Dragon was not even charged of murder? This movie is very unrealistic and racist towards white people, and don't judge me wrong, i think Carl did the right thing if 2 scumbags raped my daughter i would kill them both, but i still be guilty about murder and deserved my punishment, not "innocent"...
Well, how do you know the black guy wasn't arrested? Just because they don't show it doesn't mean it didn't happen.
And if he wasn't arrested, it could be attributed to the fact that it was a free for all at the moment and the police may not have had anyway of knowing who did it.
"He didn't get arrested because he was at that barbecue at the end. I think that was the same guy."
Did you even see the movie? Freddie Lee refers to Freddie Lee Cobb, played by Kiefer Sutherland. He was the brother of Billy Ray Cobb, one of the two rapists who were murdered by Carl Lee Hailey. Freddie Lee is white. Carl Lee is black. The only white people at the barbecue at the end were Jake Brigance and his family.
Doc80 added a topic to the thread, but he didn't change the subject of the message. You responded to a message with the subject "so, freddie lee at the end was arrested for..." without making it clear you weren't talking about Freddie Lee but about the arsonist. You should have changed the subject line to be clear that you weren't referring to Freddie Lee. Maybe you should review your Hooked on Phonics tapes to learn about clarity of thought and word.
Geez, who cares if the subject heading is changed? Just read post 1, post 2, post 3, etc. As the conversation grows, the topics do too. It is like that in oral conversation, too.
But I'll explain it so even an idiot like you can understand it. The initial post was about how the black kid who threw the molotov cocktail and set Stump Sisson on fire didn't go to jail. Then Doc80 asked "How do you know he didn't go to jail?" To which I replied because you see him at the cookout at the end. He gives Jake this evil look when Jake and his wife come in (and then there is a blooper where he comes down the stairs from the house; it is a blooper as he is already outside). Then you come in and say something about Freddy Lee Cobb being at the barbecue or something like that. Nobody was talking about him. You didn't pay attention. Get it? I guess not.

Oh really? Do you know what the word "initial" means? Here let's help you out with the definition of initial in this context:
Initial - of or relating to the beginning; placed at the beginning, first
The initial post was about Freddie Lee being a Klan member and pointing out that the black kid wasn't arrested.
Doc80 did indeed post that there was no way to know that the black kid was or wasn't arrested. But that doesn't mean that everyone reading your post will automatically know that you are referring to the black kid being at the barbecue versus Freddie Lee being at the barbecue. Your post didn't specify who you were referring to. Since you left the subject line unchanged, your post read this way:
"Re: so freddie lee was arrested for...
He didn't get arrested because he was at the barbecue at the end. I think that was the same guy."
"...being a Klan Member and shoot that cop next to Brigade, but the teen black arsonist who killed the Klan's Dragon was not even charged of murder?"
"Well, how do you know the black guy wasn't arrested?" "He didn't get arrested because he was at that barbecue at the end."
Then YOU come in with:
"Did you even see the movie? Freddie Lee refers to Freddie Lee Cobb, played by Kiefer Sutherland. He was the brother of Billy Ray Cobb, one of the two rapists who were murdered by Carl Lee Hailey. Freddie Lee is white. Carl Lee is black. The only white people at the barbecue at the end were Jake Brigance and his family."
You're clearly talking about the wrong guy. The question even said "how do you know the black guy wasn't arrested?
The subject doesn't need to be changed. It mentioned Freddie Lee as the arrested one, but the rest of the sentence clearly asked about the teen black arsonist.
You misread that and you were wrong, then you got all defensive and stuck by your wrong idea for nothing but pride. Sucks when people do that, but you did it.
Yes, moviefan59 is the idiot here. It was clear that doowopfan was talking about the black guy when he said "he was at the party at the end" because the black guy was the one being referred to in the previous post.
didn't freddie lee try to kill roarke too? he had her stalked, kidnapped, beaten & left for dead. he also ordered the death of the brigantz family, and had the secretary's husband killed. so he & his cohorts are going to jail for a looong time. the mickey mouse tatooed guy most likely received immunity from prosecution.
When the Sheriff arrested his deputy who had joined the Klan, why doesn't he disarm him? He doesn't take his gun off of him. That was so unrealistic. In reality, he would've probably relieved him of his duty belt but doesn't!! He pushes him into his buddies and says he belongs with them. Makes no sense.
^that. Also how did he know Hastings was in on it? Because when he called for help in the riot, Hastings didn't help? He could have been caught up in something else out there. If I remember correctly, Ozzy's head was down as he was yelling, Hastings could have been out of earshot at that time. He wasn't of course, but did Ozzy know that?

He knew because 1. Mickey Mouse was an informant for the police. 2. Sandra Bullocks character must have talked to the police and since she got pulled over by Hastings and the other KKK members she obviously knew that Hasting was one of the KKK guys.
Freddie Lee and his friends weren't arrested for being in the Klan, they were arrested because of the attack on Roark. Off screen she must have positively identified all three of them. As for the molotov cocktail guy, was there anyone there that could positively identify him as the one who threw it?
"Oh my God! You put a living room where the crack den used to be!"
