Brad Pitt and Jason Patric are horrible in this

Their performances in this were painfully amateurish. Jason Patric belongs in stuff like Sunset Beach, there's no depth to his acting. I have no idea how he made it to the big time, at least it was short lived.

Brad is just Brad in this. He didn't even attempt to portray someone that had been sexually abused as a child. He just comes across way too confident and carefree.

I thought Dustin Hoffman dropped the ball also, he is so much better than this. The only one who I honestly thought was halfway decent was Bacon, he looked like he was having a good time with this.

I liked Dustin Hoffman in this. I agree that Pitt and Patric were very pedestrian in a film that provides an opportunity to show more depth and not just be wooden. I did not feel their pain or emotion.

My favorite actor in the film was Billy Crudup. It never occurs to me that he is anything other than what his character is supposed to be. That is good acting. I also liked him in Spotlight.

Brad looked like he was a vampire in this. Pasty. Weird redish hair.

Let’s not forget that these men were walking ghosts - their innocence ruined by ongoing child sexual abuse and rape.

That said, the film basically failed to make you connect to the adult characters (although strangely Crudup and Ron Eldard were quite sympathetic as the adult killers) the film was in a rush and didn’t ‘sit’ with the characters enough, which is weird because Levinson is a real actor’s director.

Jason Patrick is a very bland presence, but he was so awesome a ‘Michael’ in Lost Boys that he gets a lifetime pass.

Patric was brilliant in Narc, I agree he was pretty forgettable in this, as was Pitt.

I thought Kevin Bacon and Ron Eldard gave the best performances.
