I would’ve gone up
When the soldiers are being ambushed from the second floor and the soldier in the stairs is being held back. I would’ve gone up like he did and died like a soldier. He did the right thing.

shareExcept he poked his head up and looked around like an idiot basically say 'shoot me please' - so no he wasn't a soldier at all.
share"The army doesent want brainless kill machines , they want soldiers who think"
is something ive heard in more than one war film. (Full metal jacket?)
Suicidally running into a kill box that you've just seen your entire sqaud slaughtered in doesent seem , "tactically" , to be the best move.
I'd have continued to be a soldier , employed a tactical retreat and used the fact they thought everyone was dead to my advantage in further low key sneak attacks.
much like Cage and Connery did.
