The problem of Political Correctness

Imagine a world, where movies were free to be realistic.

Why is it that a movie can be 'realistic' when it comes to gunshot wounds or mental illness, but never when it comes to 'relationships' or 'mating', or 'sexual psychology' or how people 'pair'?

Why is it that women's psychology is never shown to be realistic in movies?

Imagine if Buddy, instead of being 'obnoxious', became just 'typical alpha male that women are attracted to'?

I mean, he becomes confident, but somehow the 'love interest' of the movie (that doesn't have 20 sex buddies and 5 boyfriends for some reason, together with 2000 simps ready to do anything for her, showering her with money and gifts every single day from every single direction, as all young, attractive women actually have) cares more for the non-confident, shy simp than the confident, humorous and daring 'wild guy'.

This is not realistic, although we've shown the transformed version being disgustingly pervertic jerk, a woman would still be at least MORE attracted to him than the nerdy version.

It's the old Jekyll vs. Hyde-thing, that Jerry Lewis sort of perfected, except that even in THAT movie, this same unrealism rears its ugly head.

Wouldn't the movie even be more poignant, if the woman fell in love with the charismatic version, and 'just wants to be friends' with this 'lovely guy that will make a great husband for someone - as long as it's not me'..?

Wouldn't it be more hard-hitting and true to life, if we were shown the ACTUAL mating dynamics that exist in the sexual marketplace of this planet's animalistic females and males?

There's a reason things like 'friendzone', 'simps', 'nerds' and 'alphas' and even 'PUAs' exist; the female arousal is ignited by hypergamy - women want the BEST MAN, whereas men want the BEAUTIFUL WOMAN.

Men don't get their sexual needs met, so they have had to lower their standards a lot, so a lot of men would mate with unspeakable monsters, even if they looked like The Elephant Man, as long as they were horny and willing.

There's a reason why prostitutes exist; women have so much sex, they can sell the surplus, and men don't get enough (or any), so they have to resort to buying it just to get some.

This unfair, imbalanced sexual dynamic is never shown in a movie, and THIS would've been the perfect movie to not only explore it, but to reveal it to everyone. This stuff SHOULD be taught in schools, but because it's not politically correct, it isn't. Truth suffers, but people don't care, because some people are more equal than others, PURELY BASED ON THEIR PHYSICAL BODY.

The system systematically oppresses and discriminates people based purely on their physical body so much, even schools shy away from teaching the truth about pairing, all they teach is what vagina looks like when it's cut open from the side, but they don't teach PUA tactics or how female psyche works, or how women can get sex without doing anything, but men have to work really hard and go through hundreds of rejections just to get 'some' from an ugly hag that's batsh1t crazy and smells bad.

What this movie COULD have been in a free world where political correct madness doesn't kill the truth and lie to the audience, where she would've loved the alpha version and friendzoned the beta version forever.

I would want to live in a world, where teenagers are told the TRUTH about mating, pairing, female psyche and how women select their partners; women are the gatekeepers of sex, men are the gatekeepers of relationships and marriage.

Some day I will incarnate into a better world, this world will seem like a horrible nightmare of a bad memory.

This was the 1990's not ''2000's''. Society was not as politically correct back then if you do your homework.

Sherman had about zero female attention his entire life so when he turned into a thin, attractive guy from the serum and women wanted him he of course came to the conclusion he wanted more than just ''one'' at a time. Buddy wasn't an alternate personality in my opinion but a change in personal behavior as influenced by a change in appearance.

You are imposing your own unfortunate and confused understanding of relationships on the world. It doesn't work at all the way you seem to think it does.

This film's storyline actually reminds me of all those cartoons Warner Bros. (and other studios) made back in the day, where a male character was overall a nice guy, but a "loser" in the eyes of society, and he had to do something to impress the girl he was crushing on, and she would suddenly fall head over heels in love with him and dump the brute she was with to be with the nice guy (talk about wish fulfillment, eh?) That storyline evolved into the "she always liked you all along, you were just too shy to ask and she couldn't say 'no' to the aggressive male courting her" kinda BS.

While it is true that women like confident men, not all women are confidant, and often run into the exact same problems as the guys in stories like these (both in fiction, and in real life). They want a guy to notice them, but they're too shy to say anything, and the guy they like has no clue the wallflower has an interest in them, not to mention it's way too easy for more aggressive girls to keep his attention, even if he doesn't completely like them. Believe it or not, there are some real-life scenarios where their braver friends have to give them a little nudge in the right direction, though just like movies and tv, it doesn't always turn out okay.

Ok, let's see your realistic story in writing.
What happens different?

She does go for Buddy like you wish, only he is a total asshole.
What do you think happens next?

I don't think I've watched this movie since the days of VHS. I think the bedwetting losers would probably be more pissed off at the fat shaming over the racial stereotyping.
