Does Anybody Love this Movie as Much as I did???

OMG. I rented this movie the other night because I love Barbra Streisand and Pierce Brosnon. I laughed, I cried. I thought it was incredible. At the end I always get this GREAT feeling inside of me. Anybody agree, disagree??? Give me ur thoughts!!!!

I agree,I loved this movie, although it touched me personally. Mostly because I could relate so much to Barbra Streisand's character,Rose. I also believe that I am unnatractive.

finally! people whom I can relate with! i watched this movie when i was 15 and officially declared it my favorite movie ever since. i even memorized her whole lecture! (i know, crazy right?) somehow, it just defined for me what love should be like...and i officially declared barbra streisand a genius when i heard the song "i finally found someone" (i was 15 back then i've never heard of babs). great actors too! pierce brosnan, mimi rogers, lauren bacall, jeff bridges, and barbra streisand! i only have one word for this movie: PERFECT!

This movie disturbed me on some levels. Barbra as Rose put too much stake in her husband's opinion of her. I did not like the fact that Rose felt that she had to "shape up" in order to woo her husband after his trip. It seems like it should have been the other way around. It was he who needed to shape up and to appreciate his wife.

I was literally irritated and aggravated by Jeff Bridges' character. He did not seem to have a redeeming quality as a husband until the end. I think that the story writers should have made him a little less selfish and a little more insightful earlier in the movie because I walked away from it with mixed emotions - happy because they reunited and angry at his prolonged and hurt-causing ignorance.

I think Rose "shaped" herself up for herself. Yes, If Greg likes it, that will be a bonus but it is quite clear that Rose was very ready to move on when she made the carrot dinner for him.

She was simple tired of feeling unwanted becasue of her looks.

I enjoyed this movie but I also found it disturbing because, once again, it followed the formula Hollywood (and society) belief that you need to be physically attractive to be lovable or worthy of another's love. Jeff's character intentionally looked for someone he didn't find physically attractive so that he wouldn't fall in love with her, but then when she changed her "outer wrapping" THEN he can fall in love with her?

I saw this movie in the store a few days ago, and I've already watched it at least 4 times. It's such a sweet movie, and I'm glad I bought it!

I'm not finished!

I love this movie! One of a very few personal movies that I can relate to. I really felt sorry for the hurt look on Barbara's face when Jeff Bridges slipped and told her he didn't marry her because of her physical appearance. I saw that same look on my lover's face when I told her we have to go our separate ways.

I love this movie too. I saw it for the first time on a Sunday afternoon about six months ago and I finally bought it. The ending is so happy and loving that it makes me feel good just watching it. Streisand rules!

i just saw the movie, i am really speechless, just WOW , one of the greatest i've ever seen, superb intellectual dialogue , very well written , loaded with emotions, for most of the movie i couldn't sweep the smile from my face, then made me upset as Rose was, and it kept me suspended till the great romantic ending.
what a movie , congrats Barbara on this movie, really its a masterpiece.

but why only 5.9 rating, weird .. i give it 10
