Does Anybody Love this Movie as Much as I did???

OMG. I rented this movie the other night because I love Barbra Streisand and Pierce Brosnon. I laughed, I cried. I thought it was incredible. At the end I always get this GREAT feeling inside of me. Anybody agree, disagree??? Give me ur thoughts!!!!

This is truly one of my favorite movies. I'm wondering when my DVD will wear out from watching it so much. I forced my sister to watch it and she didn't think it was all that good and didn't even finish it. At that moment, I honestly thought there was something wrong with her brain. How could someone NOT think this was a fantastic movie?!! I laugh out loud when am alone watching it. And cry at the end. Barbara Streisand is definitely not one of my favorite people, but I LOVE her in this movie. And Jeff Bridges is absolutely fantastic. He gets so carried away with his hysterical ranting - like when he's on the phone with his mother-in-law trying to take a couple pills and ripping the drawer apart. He's just hysterical! And believable! I was glad to find this site and see that other people love this movie as much as I do.

Perhaps you should learn how to spell the name of one of your least favorite people; BARBRA (only 2 A's) Streisand.

I love it, too. Jeff Bridges is so cute and funny as Gregory, and Barbra looks fantastic in this movie. I've always been a Mimi Rogers fan too, and she is great as the sister.

It's such a great love story because they accept each other for who they are, and Barbra and Jeff have great chemistry, I think.

I love this movie.
Barbara is an incredible actress.
But there is few information about this movie on the web.
It's too bad.

I finally watched it...Great!! It was funny to see Jeff Bridges in this; I had just watched him in The Fabulous Baker Boys. Totally different kind of role.

I thought it was neat that Austin Pendleton was in this and in What's up Doc in 1972. I also noted that in her lecture, Barbara mentioned Casablanca, and in What's up Doc, there was several references to that movie. The theme and several quotes.

This is seriously one of my all-time favourite movies!! :D I first watched it when it came out on video in 1997? then have re-watched it so many times since then!! I have it taped from TV, but with a few lines and scenes cut out from the original movie which really bugged me, and wished I could buy it on DVD, but it's so hard to find! t's such a great feel-good movie, and the lines were so clever, witty and funny! Not to mention Jeff Bridges looks absolutely HOT!! I was drooling when I watched it the first time!! Also, the soundtrack is magnificent- esepcially the song, "I finally found someone".

I cried, laughed etc. each time I watched the movie too... it's so wonderful :)

However, i must say the only disappointment I found in the film was Jeff and Barbra dancing on the street when the credits rolled up... I thought it was really bad choreography and their dancing looked so unnatural in the last part - embarrasing actually - which slightly ruined the film for me. Luckily it was right at the end so I could just turn the DVD player off just before it begins without ruining any part of the plot of the movie :)

On the whole, "A Mirror has Two Faces" absolutely ROCKS!! :D

Thumbs up all the way!!

I love this movie too! I think the dancing is cute and goes with the plot because Jeff's character "Greg" didn't dance and get's woozy during the dancing because he loves Barbara's character "Rose." Rose is just happy to be dancing because she loved to dance with her father. They are both drunk with happiness while they are dancing.

The movie does absolutely rock!

havwe you tried half.com for the DVD?

You can find this movie on overstock.com as part of her boxed set.

I just wrote an analysis of this film for my screenwriting class. I LOVED IT! It is great romance and great acting. BRAVO Streisand! The dancing at the end was improved -- not scripted.

Really? I love the end during the credits! It is one of my favorite parts!

I first saw this movie last year after a friend recommended it. I loved it and kept renting it from the library. I finally bought it for myself for Christmas. I must have watched it 6 or 7 times since Christmas, I love it! Barbara looks great in the film (I can't believe she was 53!)! I love the romantic stuff.

I did the same exact thing. I would always rent it from Blockbuster but couldn't find it anywhere until I was on vacation...so I bought it. It has such a great story with such great actors. You could never tell Babara was 53.

I just love this movie, I can watch it any time, in any mood. It has everything one can wish for a movie - great and funny story, excellent acting, god, I love both Barbra and Bridges. It's a real treat!

Yeah, me too! I LOVE pretty much everything about this movie! Great setting, chemistry, dialogue- all that. When Gregory wears the t-shirt and jeans- WOW!!! Very likeable, relatable characters IMHO.
