Personally, I think Joaquin Phoenix.He's not ugly at all,but if you stick a mustache on him, I bet he will be.Just like Rochester in the book, he has a different type of beauty.

I totally adore Michael Fassbender as Rochester. Despite not having as many scenes, he was the most well rounded Rochester I've seen and was dangerously sexy. But, for me, the one and only person who could make the best Rochester is Richard Armitage. I'd love to see him play that part with his dark brooding looks and voice. Having seen him as a tortured lovesick man in North and South, Robin Hood and even Sparkhouse, I think Richard Armitage would be perfect.
