jack frost 1996 is an awesome horror film. the acting was decent, the effects were cool an not over the top, and it has a great balance of horror and comedy as well. followed by the just as excellent sequel, jack frost 2 revenge of the mutant killer snowman

I was impressed with the practical effects. Also loved the "Snowman/ Water view" camera tricks. The musical score was on point. Not a masterpiece by any means but it was a lot of fun watching it.
