Surprised the sh!t out of me that its this low. I'd think a 90's mega-hit would atleast have a 7. If Marvel had made this today it would have over an 8.

10 is overkill - since no movie is perfect, but it's 8 for sure, maybe even 9.
This movie is a *beep* landmark.
It's not Citizen Kane but it never intended to be, being what it is - a popcorn Blockbuster - it's nigh unmatched perfection.
It struck a fine balance of epic, action, drama and humor, that many tried to replicate, few succeed.
It redefined the disaster genre and blockbuster scale movies in general and created/popularized tons of cliches to be endlessly regurgitated ever since.
After watching this movie again and again I would give it a 10 even though no movie is perfect.
1. BVS 2. TWS 3. Avengers
Its a 7 right now. Which is where I think it should be. Strange as usually the ratings are all over the place.
Just take a look at the box office if you have any doubts over the ratings.
That's about right. I'd probably give it a 7.2.

This movie was huge. Kids today wont be able to understand. I was 12 at the time and I saw this 3 or 4 times in the theater, packed crowd each time, and each audience loved this movie.
