Was anyone else influenced...

...to become a spy by this movie when they were younger?

I was, I got myself a notebook and wrote down pointless *beep* in the hopes some grand conspiricy or mystery would come my way.

I don't lie. I willfully participate in the campaign of misinformation.

I did, I would write stuff about all of my classmates.

:( I feel like I need a suit of armor just to post a message on these boards :(

lol I did. I bought one of those "spy" cameras too.

That's the problem with life. It's nothing like movies.

My friend, her little sister, and I rode our bikes around her neighborhood pretending to be spies. Haha!! Sometimes I miss being a kid!

YES, I was nine years old when I first saw this movie and for the next year I would write things down in a notebook like Harriet did. Things about my friends, family and various observations. I had fun being a spy!

Yes. Just watching it now makes me feel nosy. Just sucks that there aren't any interesting freaks to watch like in the film.

You think you think that you're glowing, but you had been ho-ing, and now you're pregnant.

Why was this movie so influential to little kids? It really tapped into our psychology. I've heard lots of people say similar things about this movie. Now that I really think about it, Harriet the Spy has probably influenced me more than any other movie I've ever seen, even though I only saw it once and don't remember much about it. I began to write down everything, read my dad's books, and generally start down the path toward becoming the person I am today. Wow. Kind of depressing. It's amazing how much movies affect our lives.
