I DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS!!

i dont care what anyone says...this is a amazing film , loved it since i was a child.
Ive been in a situation just like Amy myself, having to adopt an abandoned canadian goose.. her name was honey ...and it was magical....this film is a a lot better than all killing, sexist and obviously untrue *beep* they have on nowadays....magical and original...will always be a favourite :)

Not my kind of movie but if someone else enjoys it then I am glad they made it.

Yes, everyone has his or her own opinion. So, thanks for your comment. :)

Simple, mature, reasonable. What a great comment!

I so envy you for getting to have a Canada goose of your own -- they are wonderful creatures!

I've made a connection with a resident colony of Canada geese, whom I've been visiting and feeding for four years. They know me and I know some of them well enough to have given them names and recognize my special friends when they show up. They are so full of personality, and contrary to many people's perceptions they are actually really gentle and friendly birds.

I so wish I could have one as a pet but where I live you need to be a licenced rehabber to "own" a Canada. So I have to content myself with being a friend to the local wild ones -- who act tame anyway.

I adore these birds and I love this movie.

I know what you mean, Prelude!

I've been feeding geese for over a year now and I'm mesmerized by them. Greylag Geese, Egyptian Geese, Canada Geese -- each goose has his or her own personality, strengths and weaknesses, charisma, attitude and style. Each single goose is an individual, just like humans. Also, these magnificent birds are highly intelligent and talk all the time to each other, a language for sure, which we as humans don't understand by far.

I fell in love with Canada Geese by the movie Fly Away Home. It's one of the best movies Hollywood has ever done.

I love this film. The acting was ok but the scenery, the geese and the flying craft are the real stars. Igor was my favourite. I'm glad that he made at back with the others as informed by the writing at the end.

Same here, I love this film. When I was a youngster my dad would take my older sister and myself to our local Blockbuster and we'd rent a few movies every Saturday night. It was sort of our tradition, as it probably was for most families in the 90's. I would pick a movie on occasion, but it was usually my dad or sister that would pick the movie. While I can't say I remember watching this movie for the first time, every time I watch it, it brings back memories of my childhood.

My dad even had two VCR's wired together at our house, and he would buy blank tapes by the dozen. So every time we rented a movie, he would dub it for us so we could watch them over and over again. Still have a collection of many of those movies to this day. Some of the best memories of my childhood were watching those movies on Saturday nights :D

The goose was Canadian? I didn't know they had nationalities. Do they need a passport when they migrate?

reply

Why should only humans have nationalities? Geese were on the planet long before any humans (millions of years before), so human-called "Canada" belongs to the geese more than any human. So, yes, they're CANADIAN GEESE! :P

One of the best to come out!!! Makes my heart smille and cry every single time!!!!!!

One of the best Family films ever released. It's very touching and real. My daughter started watching it and she just sat there quietly in amazement. She liked "Annie" movie as well with all the singing and dancing.
