One of them is named Knobby. Is that an actual nickname for some other name? Or maybe a name the friends just gave him?
This particular guy seemed to be pretty level-headed. Knowing they were going to be out of a place to stay soon. I always noticed when Logan sends Knobby to tell David they have to leave soon , Knobby has a half smile on his face. Almost like he is being forced to go out with them. To do something he doesn't really want to do, but has no choice. All of David's friends were aggressive, but this guy seemed to be the least aggressive of the bunch. Just a thought. I wonder how these guys all met lol
Cookie1, 'Knobby' is a tag, not a nickname. The referenced guy is probably the one who handles doors when the group breaks into places, for entries and exits. There is another friend of David's called 'Hacker', and I'm sure that a similar idea applies to him in the case of computers. Knobby is much more relaxed than his roommates are, but a criminal nonetheless. He is afraid of David and Logan, especially since those two constantly fight for the position of leader, and tries to appear respectful when talking about how everyone in the house has to leave shortly. Perhaps a few of the guys have spotted each other doing different illegal things at the same time and David has stumbled upon the formed group after being evicted from wherever he is sent to as a teenager. Knobby objects to injuring others which is why he hangs in the background when the gang vandalizes the Walker home. Notice how eager the calm member is to leave the scene and take Hacker to an emergency room. He doesn't want to live with the violent bunch, but must not have any other residence to go to.
Thanks for the reply. It explains a lot about the tag and it all makes sense. Yes, I did notice at the end hes the first wanting to leave the situation. I watched the movie again the other day with subtitles and Knobby does say "This gigs getting tired". If not for the subtitles you barely hear him say that. Although I saw the movie many times, watching with subtitles made me realize there were other lines that were so quick I didn't notice haha.
You're welcome. Thank you too. I've never auditorily deciphered your mentioned line either, but have been able to faintly hear something from the side in the moment.
