how would they even know?
he probably didn't show up for work for a couple days while in jail & went back & they didn't care or ask where he'd been,
it was probably an under-the-table cash job

Youre right, plus most jobs don't require a criminal history check.

I think he had a different delivery job after the arrest. I believe the first was a liquor store, the second a grocery store.

He didn't keep his original job. Sally Fields and her family used to frequent the market he delivered for. If you think about it I'm sure the liquor store in the hood was not on her normal route. I'm sure the owners of the liquor store didn't even do background checks.
