Mr. Knightly or Mr. Darcy?
What do you think?!
Neither.
You all fight over these two and I'll keep Frederick Wentworth for myself.
Mr Darcy of course!
Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining
I like guys who aren't too perfect, so my first choice of all Jane Austen heroes would be Darcy. Though I don't much like the 2005 PP, (it seems like a Cliffnotes version), I did like Macfayden in that role. You could read so much in those huge eyes, and when he hands Elizabeth into the carriage and then flexes his hand in that nervous Oh-God-I-touched-her way... man, that gets me somehow.
Colin Firth's Darcy is also pretty hot.
If, however, no Darcy were available, I'd have probably been one of the many stupid women seduced by Henry Crawford. I haven't seen a film adaption with an actor who does the role justice, but in the book, that little bastard just pulls me right in.
Third would be Mr. Palmer from S&S, but only if it's Hugh Laurie. ;^)
Captain Wentworth is... not bad.
Knightly seems like a nice fellow, but more fatherly than loverly. Too tame. Same with Colonel Brandon.
I have no reaction to Willoughby or Wickham, I don't know why. Edmund and Edward both bore me. The one in Northanger Abbey also barely shows up on the radar.
I guess that's it.
None of the above. I'll take Captain Wentworth and let you ladies fight over the others.

Couple wise, my favorite is Jeremy and Gwyneth in Emma.
"Mr." wise, then Colin Firth Mr. Darcy.

John Thornton. Next?
-Uh, what was the question? Oh right. Well, I have to say Mr. Knightly. Mr. Darcy doesn't do anything for me. I just don't get him. Still, I enjoy watching P&P (mostly the 1995 version).

I will have to say that Knightley was perfect for Emma and Darcy was perfect for Elizabeth.
For me, it would have to be Darcy, and, it would have to be Colin Firth.
Wasn't he fun in Bridget Jones' Diary, too?
p.s. also liked MMF.
Mr. Knightly hands downnn. He's so sweet and thoughtful to the feelings of others, hes also funny. Mr. Darcy although he is romantic, is too standoffish for me.
