Did ANYONE else freakin cry at the end of this movie??

I'm just curious, did anyone actually cry at the end of this movie? I know that i certainly did. I just want to know if anyone else felt that the ending was certainly somewhat pleasing, but more like a bittersweet. I want to hear what people have to say.

it was a long time ago... but ehem... yes... i cried (a little bit ;) )

reply

"To the stars" I don't cry but I teared... A good and righteous death fact or fiction, always deserves at least a tear.

Just drivin aroundddd, in Jon Voight's carrrr.

reply

Yes, I cried. Wah wah wah. That was me, crying into my popcorn, wishing I had a dragon. The music did most of the work though.

I am 59 years old, saw this when it first came out in the theaters in 1996. Cried then, and still tear up when Draco dies. Also, Pete Posthlewaite's (sp?) speech at the end about knowing where to look when the troubles became too much makes my heart swell !

I'm 19, growing up, before DVD's kicked...we had a bunch of movies on VHS, but there were a handful I always watched.

Terminator 2
Jurassic Park
Star Wars
Robocop
Dragonheart

I loved this movie, I consider it an un-appreciated classic. I always got sad at the end of the movie.

i know i did cry when i was young when i watched this movie. it is one of my favorite and even now when i see it i cry especially when sean connery says the line "to the stars", also the music in the end is really beautiful

reply

I cry every time when I'm watching this movie
imo, this is one of the best classic fantasy movies ever, right next to Willow and The Legend

I always cry at the end of Dragonheart. No matter how many times I've seen it before.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)

reply

Yup, every time!

"This isn't TV, it's real life. Can't you tell the difference?"
"Sure - I just like TV better."

reply

I just saw the movie. It was good, but it wasn't a tear inducing flick, not one bit.

reply

Yup.

Rewatched this movie this evening and bawled at the end. I agree with others that it is the gorgeous music that makes it all the more moving.
