I play trombone in the Three Counties Youth Brass Band, Symphonic Wind Band and Big Band and I am going for National Youth Wind Orchestra of Wales. I am in the National Youth Jazz Of Wales.
I been on a Tour This year to play in disneyland, NOT BUSKING at the gate. I have also played in The Jazzaldia festival to 10000+ people in San Sebastian with Herbie Hancock and Bill Wyman.

I have also played for my county band in West Glamorgan and also did four years on the National Youth Brass Band of Wales, my first year on repiano cornet, then the next three years on flugel.
Played with many different bands locally since I was young, now I am a tenor horn player and play in the Championship Section in Wales for a very good band.
Well done for getting on the NYBBW. It's a good week away and you make lots of friends and get to play really challenging music!

shareI've just started again after a 12 year gap (to get my breath back??) but not in a brass band. I'm playing in a brass sextet that 'performs' in old peoples nursing homes 'entertaining' the inhabitants. Some of the old folk like to sing along and enjoy it but others tell us, quite loudly, to p**s off.

Used to play the Piano and then the Cornet and then the euphonium, but not played for years. However Give me one of those and in six months I will play again reasonably well..
I play Bb bass with the East Yorkshire Motor Services band in Hull. I also conduct the Cottingham Band.
shareI have played the piano for the past 13 years and have got my grade 7. This led me to play the percussion in Pemberton Old Wigan JJB Brass Band. I've been playing percussion for just over 4 years. My grandad used to play the Euphonium and then conducted for years, My stepnan plays the flugel, sis plays cornet, dad plays barritone, cousin plays percussion, uncle plays trombone and mum is secretary of the band..So as u can see its quite a family orientated hobby :)
