In today's episode, we'll be looking back on "Black Sheep" (1996) starring Chris Farley and David Spade.share
While Farley and Spade had already struck gold with Tommy Boy, this film proved to be a very different experience, especially for Farley. Directed by Penelope Spheeris, known for Wayne's World*, and written by Fred Wolf, *Black Sheep was marked by on-set tension and creative clashes. Spheeris and Wolf reportedly did not see eye-to-eye during production, leading to a difficult atmosphere that spilled over into the performances. Spheeris even expressed open frustration with David Spade, adding to the strained dynamic. Most tragically, the film became a turning point for Chris Farley, who spiraled into relapse during the film's post-production phase. Also featuring performances by Tim Matheson, Gary Busey, and Christine Ebersole.
