I mean its not that bad but compared to the first it really pales. I know Season 1 was just unrelentingly bleak but Season 2 is pretty much a narrative disaster. I hope it gets better, I'm about halfway through and its turning into some paranoid poor man's X-Files.
Lance Henriksen is beyond awesomet though.
I liked all the seasons.. The show was meant to be Seven with a paranormal end time vibe to it.. And the group was never meant to be a cult.. But after Season one Chris Carter was busy with the x-files movie, so James Wong and Vince Gilligan took over the show.. What we ended up with was the millennium group the evil cult, Catherine dies and Frank goes crazy..

Halfway through Season 3, which is somewhat a come down.

I'm in the Season 2 camp. All the most memorable images come from season 2. By then it had grown into something more distinguished than an unnaturally murky killer-of-the-week slog. The shadows aren't interesting without at least a sliver of light to give them form. Season 2 let that sliver of light in (before Season 3 threw a brick through the window). And for having such a great premise and lead actor, the writing wasn't all that inspired in the first season.
