Jack or Peter

Which brother would you choose if you could marry either?

I'd pick Jack :)

reply

Jack, in a heartbeat. Peter was vain and selfish, and while he says he'll change, don't you believe it!

reply

I actually think Peter became a better man for knowing Lucy even for so short a time, even if he never became as sensitive as Jack. I doubt Peter married Ashley afterwards. But Jack was Lucy's perfect match.

reply

Definitely Jack. He's such a manly man - down to earth, works with his hands, drives a truck and is always a little rumpled. Plus I'm a sucker for an older brother who has a good relationship with his little sister!

Bill Pullman and Peter Gallagher were both in their forties when they made this movie. Even giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming their characters were supposed to be in their thirties, I had trouble believing they had a sister about fourteen years old. I kept waiting for someone to reveal that Mary was adopted, her "parents" were actually her grandparents, and either Jack or Peter was her father, not her brother.

reply

My half-sister is 20 years older than me, and people who didn't know my family assumed my parents were my grandparents. It happens XD

reply

It happens, like yadichan said. My family has a similar situation to hers. My oldest sister is 19 years older than our little brother and people often assumed she was his mom instead of sister and I'm sure, even today, some people probably think our mom must be his grandma.

Once upon a time there was a magical place where it never rained. The end.

I vote Jack

reply

I vote Peter. Money, big ego, huuuge ego, power, money and a huuuge surprise. What is there not to choose about him.

I am Tigro, bow down to my greatness.

reply

And one ball! LOL.

All joking aside, I'd take both of 'em.

reply

And one ball!

Jack!

So put some spice in my sauce, honey in my tea, an ace up my sleeve and a slinkyplanb

The way it's written, we're supposed to fall in love with Jack. He's good looking, charming, funny, a hard worker... Peter's all of those things but he's also a narcissistic player.
