Even giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming their characters were supposed to be in their thirties, I had trouble believing they had a sister about fourteen years old. I kept waiting for someone to reveal that Mary was adopted, her "parents" were actually her grandparents, and either Jack or Peter was her father, not her brother.

shareIt happens, like yadichan said. My family has a similar situation to hers. My oldest sister is 19 years older than our little brother and people often assumed she was his mom instead of sister and I'm sure, even today, some people probably think our mom must be his grandma.

The way it's written, we're supposed to fall in love with Jack. He's good looking, charming, funny, a hard worker... Peter's all of those things but he's also a narcissistic player.
