The kid actors were decent. The horror aspects were good. Being conscious while your mind and body are controlled by another Being. Knowing your going to feel the pain and die and not be able to do anything about it. That's good horror.
But, it doesn't work here. It's sanitized and needed to be done in the 80's rather than the 90's. It also needed that kick we saw from the Fly and The Blob. This misses that.

It's a good film. A very good cast of actors is what sets it apart especially getting Superman and Luke Skywalker in the same film.
From all of Carpenter's 90s films, I think this and 'Memoirs of an Invisible Man' were the best from that era.
