Why does Keyser Soze admit to multiple crimes during his “interrogation” by Agent Kujan?

Instead of just sitting quietly until he’s released? He also seems to misunderstand what “state’s evidence” is as after admitting to those additional offenses, he seems to believe that he could just walk out of a police station without being rearrested and facing new charges.

He had immunity from being prosecuted. He actually thought he could convince Agent Kujan that he had nothing to do with it and wanted Kujan to eventually find out. Verbal just wanted to feel he put a fast one on the cops.

As already stated, "Verbal Kint" received prosecutoral immunity and was only charged with a low-level firearm violation. He was held up by Agent Kujan and he simply bought time until he was cleared to leave (which worked since the survivor identified Keyser Soze at the very end). The implication was that while he was actually Keyser Soze, many of the details of the story were fabricated using names and words from around the office.
