Brad Pitt really ripped off...

...Dennis Hopper's photojournalist character in "Apocalypse Now." He must've studied every frame meticulously.

Pitt does the part well and is entertaining, but I could discern that he was acting here and there. Hopper, by contrast, was the real deal, perhaps because he & crew were hanging out in the jungle doing drugs or whatever while Coppola & Brando worked out the kinks in the script for the last act of "Apocalypse Now" (Eleanor shared how days would go by while the crew waited for a scene to shoot).

Not to mention the Pitt's overacting. There's none of that in Hopper. Interesting point.

I bet you can't stand Brad Pitt won a Golden Globe for this, can you?

reply

He did? He almost ruined 12 monkeys for me.

reply

Did not know that, surprising but does not bother me one bit as that worthless award has been given to much worse candidates.

reply

To be fair, Morgan Freeman won the best actor in a comedy Golden Globe for Driving Miss Daisy but would not win an Oscar til Million Dollar Baby.

Pitt was around in 80s but not good enoughs to get into better quality movie. you see him in lot of 80s film, but he in background as extra or walk on. it funny because he does not have much talent, take away his look and make him average man and he no be star.

reply

He won my respect with his work in films like "Kalifornia," "Meet Joe Black," "Troy," "Inglourious Basterds," "Fury" and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."

reply

i like devil own and fight clubs but i think he medicores at best. he love himself too much.

his talent is being very good looking mans with some acting talents. he is why i dont like films as much from 90s onward. better actor in 1960-80s
