You would think Sid would try to prove to the world that the toys are alive

I'm thinking maybe he installed a camera and documented them moving around but the toys got rid of the tape. It's hard to believe he wouldn't at least try something with such knowledge. If for nothing else than just to stop his family from thinking he is crazy.

When would he have had the time? Also after that whole incident they probably wouldn't have come to life in front of him again. They only did so to save Buzz.

reply

They don't have to do it in front of him.

He could set a camera up in his bedroom, and leave it filming when he wasn't there.

reply

What do you mean he wouldn't have the time?

reply

I doubt he'd want to. And besides, when this film came out only the richest people had video cameras. They weren't as cheap and widley available as they are now. They also were a lot bigger than they are now. If his parents did have a video camera, they wouldn't let him use it for fear of him breaking it.

reply

I don't remember cameras being a rich people thing back then. My cousins had one and they weren't that wealthy.

reply

Well, only a fairly wealthy relative of mine had a video camera at the time. But nobody my age I knew as a kid had their own back in 90s.

reply

While it's true the kids i knew didn't have a camera either except my cousins it wasn't something that was too far fetched for a family of normal standard to afford. Not that i really have any insight into prices on technology at the time but i don't think we children would've been allowed to use it by ourselves like we did if the thing was so expensive. It wasn't like a cell phone or a laptop or something which were thruly exclusive stuff.

reply

You may be younger than me but back in the 90s a Video Camera was way more expensive than a regular camera. They were so expensive that in the late 90s when my parents got one they wouldn't allow me or my siblings to use it. Now a days just about every digital camera can take videos and photos but back in the 90s Cameras were less advanced.

^ Good point.

He would be too scared of even having toys to do something like that.
