Superman 1. Among them, someone getting thrown into that huge, lit up Coke billboard.
shareWhat I find to be even funnier is when a movie is so low budget that they can't use a real product in it. For example I made the mistake of watching "Hard Cash" out of the Walmart bargain bin. Ugh horrible! The funny thing was that Christian Slater is drinking from a Coke can and part of the word "Coke" is removed from the can. Or even a good movie like "Clerks" they don't ask for a pack of marbs, they ask for a pack of cigarettes... Pretty ironic.
shareI think Product placements are realistic, they are obviously also used in real life. The point with movies is the commercial attention a product recieves, but it makes complete sense to see Garcia drink a can of Coca Cola.
Snakes on a Plane was chock FULL of product placement, but it is done in excess on purpose, which is used for comedic purposes. But it's still hilarious.
Forgiveness is between them and God. It's my job to arrange the meeting
The Island had the most blatant and persistent product placements I've ever seen in a film. It was a constant barrage of product, product, product. It didn't even make any sense. These people lived in a dome; they don't buy anything. There's no point in them being surrounded by obvious branding. X-Box trainer, Puma shoes, Aquafina water, etc., etc.
shareBy far the most blatant example of product placement I've ever seen was in the Clint Eastwood movie, Blood Work. He brings a box of Krispy Kreme donuts to the police station, but we don't just get to see that it's a Krispy Kreme box. No, we see Eastwood and Paul Rodriguez eating donuts for over 30 seconds. No conversation, they're just enjoying their Krispy Kreme donuts.
