Treat Williams only memorable role in my book...

I can only remember Treat Williams in "The Phantom" and "Deep Rising" and they both blew. However, he was so great in this. If I saw him on the street, I would call him Critical Bill. Also, "Folsom Prison Blues" in the background track turned me onto Johnny Cash, who is well before my time. What a great film!

I take it you've never seen "Smooth Talk". He is pretty memorable in that. Creepy, but memorable.

You need to watch more movies, man! Treat is awesome!

"Hair"
"1941"
"Prince of the City"
"Once Upon a Time In Amercia"
"Smooth Talk"

Not to mention a handful a really good TV performances...including his portrayal of Jack Dempsey.

And for the record, "Deep Rising" is a very good b-flick...you probably just didn't get it!

Hahahahaha, no please... Critical Bill is one of my favorite film characters of all time so I must say this is the MOST memorable role for Treat in my mind. Was Bill on the boat at the end? I forget.

I thought so. I have the movie but haven't watched it in a long time. I forget how I came across this movie... Think I saw a preview for it on another DVD. Anyone know what DVDs had the preview for it?

He will always be Danny Ciello to me (Prince of the City) - but Critical Bill is a very close second.

Treat Williams is great in Everwood. Granted, his role is A LOT different than his role in this movie, but it's probably his best work.

How could he NOT be in the boat? He was one of the crew. Of course he was on the boat...Once Upon A Time In America, The Legend Of D.B. Cooper, Hair, Prince of the City. Didn't really enjoy him at all in anything besides those until "Denver..." and Critical Bill - now, he can do no wrong in my eyes...

Sidney Lumet's "Prince of The City" everything including a young Treat Williams in this movie is brilliant. Pretty accurate for a cop movie based on real events when NYC wasn't filled with pussy's and posers.
