This one is asking for a sequel. Jada is still around and I'm even going to say this could probably pass off as a TV series as well.
Jada's character could have HER night to fight, die and pass the key on to someone else...wham instant TV series and I think it would do well...well if it had good writers.
This is one of my favorite movies, I'm always sad at the end, because I want to see if she makes it to Paris
Demon Knight just finished on Encore a few minutes ago and the first thing I thought was... "Why didn't they make a sequel?" Growing up I loved this movie and I hadn't seen it in YEARS until just now. Now that I'm older and wiser (considering I was 9 when it was released!) I'm really interested in the back story of Demon Knight. The keys and such. The back story was left on the back burner for most of the film - it is a horror movie after all, gore takes the limelight. I just so happen to be an aspiring screenwriter (nothing sold so I cannot claim to be a screenwriter just yet!) and would love to work on a prequel/sequel combo. Combined the past and the present in one shot, more efficiently than Demon Knight did.
TV series... negative. It would turn into a 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' puff piece.
Guys, the same cast to me, means nothing without the same writers and people who created this amazing story. To this day, it is one of my top-ten all time movies, and I would love to see a sequel anyway: dvd, theater, even a radio play would quench my thirst.

I agree completely. It's one of my top ten movies too, though I can't exactly pinpoint why. Maybe it's because Brayker is a really cool, unsung hero. Or the idea of the eternal battle between good and evil, and the key being passed on like a torch. The writers put just the right amount of humor in it, but not too much, so as to keep the dark atmosphere intact. And all the characters are interesting and well written too.
I've always hoped for an actual sequel, but after 14 years, I'm not going to hold my breath.
I never forgot this film as a kid. Maybe I still love it now cause it has a Buffy-esque feel. They could totally continue this as a tv-serial/mini-series! Have Jada back, and a cameo or return from Billy Zane who was actually amazing in this movie. I first saw this when I must have been 8/9 yrs old and loved it and laughed like mad. Saw it now years later and enjoyed it just as much if not more. There is a lot of potential in this movie. I also remember thinking as a little girl- Zane is kinda hot....weird but rewatching this I thought that again. He was simply awesome in this role, and as an adult there is a lot of humor I appreciate even more now. It would be an epic reboot, with or without the funny Crypt Keeper. I say if anyone has plans to reinstate this film as the new go to demon/zombie fighting againt one single awesome lady/cool new person for a key thingie- go for it! I'd watch it if it had this same humor and sexy-dark energy.
