Same Universe as Alien?

HR Giger designed the aliens for both Alien and Species, and both have similar one-word titles. Would be interesting too if it were revealed the alien DNA used to create Sil were the Xenomorph DNA or the black goo from the Alien movies and could explain how the Weyland Corporation already had some knowledge of the alien DNA and wanted to extract and weaponize it in those films. Would be cool if Ridley Scott alluded to a connection between Alien and Species just as Blade Runner and Alien are supposed to be connected.

I also like connecting unrelated movies. I think it would be more Interesting to find out that the Alien monster was a “dog” like animal of the Species people.

The Xenomorph in Alien 3 actually was combined with dog DNA

I think it's well established that it is set in the same universe as Porky's 2 and the Police academy series. Look closer and you will see similar themes.
