For the most part this is a fun genre flick with a crazy good cast but goes off the rails in the climax with the horrendous CGI. If the climax had been better without the awful FX, the overall impression of this film would likely be a lot better
shareI rewatched it for the first time in a long time not too long ago and thought exactly the same. If the climax had lived up to the rest of the movie Species would be a sci-fi/creature feature classic for me.
